Workshop: Science to Policy Consultation. Reducing the Urban Burden of Disease in Brussels through Environmental Policies
Date: 11 December, 2023. Location: Brussels
The city of Brussels has been chosen as one of 10 cities, for which detailed health cost and benefits assessments will be developed, and UBBPolicy is now seeking decision-makers, administrators and stakeholders expertise input for the research scenarios and results.
Added value for Brussels decision-makers and administration in participating
- Exclusive access to existing and new data showcasing health benefits of various urban environmental, and transport policies, which can be used in communication with the public
- Health economic cost and benefits analysis which can be used for designing and implementing policies
- Opportunity to give direction to researchers on which data is most needed for current and future policy-making
During the workshop, we will explore possible scenarios on health and well-being relevant for either the preparation or assessment of Brussels current and prospective policies and strategies (e.g climate neutrality by 2030, low emission zone, GoodMove plan, and others). For example: GoodMove plan – health impact assessment of xx% increase of cyclists/cycling infrastructure or any other measure.
DATE: 11 December 2023 from 9:00 AM to 14:00 PM (CET).
VENUE: Mundo Madou, Avenue des Arts 7/8, 1210 Brussels, Belgium.
The event is restricted to invited participants only. More information here.
