Workshop: Cities, form, environmental exposures and health impacts

Half the world population lives in cities and this is likely to increase to 70% over the next 20 years (United nations 2014). Cities occur in many forms and sizes which has climate, environmental and health implications. Recently a number of papers have been published examining the relationship between aspects such city form and size, climate, environmental and health impacts using databases with hundreds or thousands of cities.

This workshop bring together researchers with large databases i.e 100s or 1000s of cities, who work around the topic to:

  • Provide a state of the art
  • Explore synergies
  • Explore research tools
  • Exchange experience with UBDPolicy
  • Identify research gaps
  • Produce a report/paper

VENUE: Hotel Melia, Sitges, Spain.
