Science Communication on the Urban Burden of Disease in Sofia
The UBDPolicy project recently published a new infographic on the latest data on the health impacts of air pollutants and noise in Sofia, Bulgaria.
The UBDPolicy project recently published a new infographic on the latest data on the health impacts of air pollutants and noise in Sofia, Bulgaria.
This new infographic provided information on air quality and pollutant concentrations in Sofia, in comparison to the levels recommended by WHO. It also provided the burden of disease estimations linked to these stressors.
Prepared in collaboration with the UBDPolicy Bulgarian partner Air4Health, the infographic was presented at a press conference in Sofia. It was very well received and was published in several media outlets, including an interview coverage in the news, clearly showing the interest of the public for information on the impacts of their environments on their health, as well as the relevance of providing evidence-based information.
